Libya Oil Study
Baseline Resolution and OilTracers
Complete geochemical analysis of thirty-five (35) Libyan crude oil samples. The objectives of this project are to determine the number of genetically related oil families represented in the collection and based on biomarker distributions interpret the age, maturity and depositional environment of the source horizon from which each oil family was derived. Ultimately, these data will be integrated with well and seismic data to prepare a petroleum systems analysis of the Sirt Basin. The latter work is being done in conjunction with David Boote and Associates and Lynx Geographic Information Systems (Lynx). The geochemistry data package is available separately or in combination with the petroleum systems analysis. |
