Humble Geochemical Services announces release of a Hardeman Basin Barnett Shale source rock and oil study with 19 wells across Hardeman County, Texas and adjacent areas in Oklahoma. Many of these wells have profiles through the Barnett Shale and include detailed geochemical assessment of organic richness, remaining generation potential, and thermal maturity.
The wells consist of cuttings samples, although one well contains both cuttings and conventional core analysis. Gas analyses including carbon isotopes are included. Oil samples from the Chappel Formation and other horizons are compared to Barnett Shale extracts and Barnett-produced oils from the Ft. Worth Basin.
